    By the meanings provided ie
    "dubious : Of questionable character
doubtful : Subject to or causing doubt"
it seems of the correct ans for the first can be any one. Can you explain the choice?
Also for the fifth, again by the meanings provided,
"ameliorate : To make or become better
alleviate : To make (pain, for example) more bearable"
ameliorate appears to be correct! Please explain.

  6. Dear Dipen,

Since the sentence does not speak about any climax using a word related to climax (that is climactic) would be incorrect.Hence the answer.

  7. Dear Nikhil,

Something can sound dubious and not doubtful. In these questions it is not just the meaning of the words but also the usage of the words that has to be taken into consideration.

In the last sentence allevate is to lessen or make less severe while ameliorate is to make something better or improve. So,alleviate the suffering which means make situations bearbale which is the correct usage.
